The Coral Gables Congregational Church (CGCC) Community Arts Program will hold a Summer String Workshop, Wednesday, August 13 through Friday, August 15, at CGCC. Click here for Registration Form. The workshop will include intensive instruction in music theory (written and aural) and ensemble repertoire study through a range of styles: from baroque and classical to jazz and contemporary.

Candido Camero Wins Percussionist of the Year!
2008 Summer Concert Series artist, Candido Camero, is the winner of the Jazz Journalists Association 2008 Jazz Award for Percussionist of the Year. The announcement was made at a June 18 awards ceremony. The Jazz Association, a non-profit professional organization, celebrates its 12th annual celebration of excellence in jazz and jazz journalism, and induction of an “A Team" of activists, advocates, altruists, aiders and abettors of jazz. Award-Winning Fourteen-Year-Old Cello Sensation Brings A Community to its Feet
The Coral Gables Congregational Church (CGCC) Community Arts Program and Miami Virtuosi proudly presented 14-year-old cello sensation Anna Litvinenko in recital, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 20. CGCC Community Arts Program Young Musicians' International Composition Competition ANNOUNCES WINNERS!
In 2007, the CGCC Community Arts Program (CAP) unveiled its Young Musicians’ International Composition Competition with an international call for string chamber orchestra compositions referencing Afro-Hispanic culture and traditions. The result was entries that span four countries: Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico, and the United States.
