He has since produced over 75 major-label recordings that include Harry Connick, Jr., Marcus Roberts, Spike Lee, his father Ellis Marsalis and brothers Branford and Wynton Marsalis. In 2009 Delfeayo releases his new album entitled Sweet Thunder, an Ellington suite based upon the literary brilliance of William Shakespeare. “His playing… is already marked by technical excellence, an inventive mind and frequent touches of humor.”
Los Angeles Times
“Delfeayo is charming, hip, and his trombone solo has sweep. You can hear in it a generation or two of New Orleans street musicians.”
