Here’s to a spirited summer of exceptional opportunities! Whether you’re a jazz aficionado or a classical music lover, it’s a sure shot that one of this summer’s most refreshing events will be the Coral Gables Congregational Church (CGCC) Community Arts Program (CAP) Summer Concert Series. CGCC’s intimate and historic setting, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, creates the ideal blend in which to hear and see a roster of extraordinary artists.
The Summer Concert Series flourishes from a commitment found within CGCC’s vision: to “celebrate through the arts a sense of wonder for all creation.” And this “sense of wonder” is one that you will experience in concert, as part of a Community Arts Program that also nurtures young musicians through its Conservatory for the Arts.
The CGCC Community Arts Program Conservatory for the Arts offers music education to young musicians, ages 8-18. With an inclusive approach, the Conservatory for the Arts provides engaging and practical forums for a diversity of youth, no matter their circumstances. The result is valuable lessons for all students through an award-winning after-school music program that delivers classroom, one-on-one, and active-learning-ensemble experiences. Teachers and coaches are also musicians within the University of Miami Frost School of Music and other exceptional South Florida institutions.
A summer extension of the CGCC CAP Conservatory for the Arts is the Young Musicians’ Summer Master Classes. These provide youth with a deeper overall perspective of music and the music industry through the “real-world” experiences of renowned performers. You’re invited to also join in these engaging sessions, for every age, taught by artists appearing on the Summer Concert Series.
We have the perfect mix! Drink it in; and experience vibrant cultural and educational enrichment, with an intoxicating sense of wonder!
