CGCC Community Arts Program
2008 Summer Concert Series
In its 23rd season, this Summer Concert Series is still a Godsend for Music Lovers

Whether you’re a jazz aficionado or a classical music lover, it’s a sure bet that one of your most colorful summer events will be the Coral Gables Congregational Church (CGCC) Community Arts Program (CAP) Summer Concert Series. CGCC’s intimate and historic setting, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is the place to hear and see a roster of exceptional artists.

The Summer Concert Series flourishes from a commitment found within CGCC’s vision: to “celebrate through the arts a sense of wonder for all creation.” And this “sense of wonder” is one that you will not only experience in concert. It is one that you will nurture.

Your Summer Concert Series ticket purchases help provide music education for young musicians attending the CGCC CAP Conservatory for the Arts. With an inclusive approach, the Conservatory for the Arts provides engaging and practical forums for a diversity of youth, no matter their circumstances. The result is valuable lessons for all students through an award-winning after-school music program that delivers classroom, one-on-one, and active-learning-ensemble experiences. Teachers and coaches are also musicians within the University of Miami Frost School of Music and other exceptional South Florida institutions. A summer extension of the CGCC CAP Conservatory for the Arts is the Young Musicians’ Summer Master Classes. These engaging sessions are for every age, and are taught by artists appearing on the Summer Concert Series.

Color your summer with exceptional opportunities. And share in a mission that goes beyond its lines to ensure a vibrant future of cultural and educational enrichment, with a sense of wonder!
